“I Don’t Want to Work on My Wedding Day”

We hear it all the time: “I just want to enjoy my wedding day I don’t want to be the one making sure the setting everything up and making sure everyone is where they need to be.”

And you shouldn’t have to. And neither should your mom or your bridesmaids.

Your wedding day isn’t just another event. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment. You deserve to be fully present not coordinating timelines, answering vendor questions, or making backup plans when the breeze picks up. When you hire the Haley Drew Weddings team, you’re not just hiring planners. You’re hiring protectors of your peace.

So What Does “Working” on Your Wedding Day Look Like?

It looks like:

  • Answering a dozen texts from vendors asking where to park when they arrive.

  • Standing around the reception and ceremony space telling everyone how to set up and where (the vendors who did not read your timeline and floor plan will be asking). And yes, some vendors will do that to you.

  • Setting up all of your decor, unloading it from the car, reloading it back in the car at the end of the night.

  • Cueing your Dj somehow on when ceremony is starting, when the song needs to change, and reminding him of any announcements after. (This is the most impossible thing of all and you are likely to experience several errors when trying to do this on your own).

  • Tracking down bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, for the ceremony.

  • Lining up everyone for the ceremony.

  • Making sure all of your guests go and sit down for the ceremony to start on time.

  • Making sure the DJ is on top of all cues for formalities.

  • Tracking down missing items.

  • Helping guests find their seats (or the bathroom).

  • Keeping the day on schedule—when everyone else is running on champagne.

  • Managing the catering and bar. Making sure the catering knows if you are on or off time so they know if they need to speed it up in the kitchen or slow it down.

All while you need to be a bride? A bride who should be present, focusing on the day, being present in the ceremony, taking photos, dancing, drinking, eating, all the bride things.

It sounds exhausting because… it is. And yet so many couples unintentionally take on these tasks thinking they can handle it and think that it’s worth saving the extra funds, unless they have a planner who handles it all before it even becomes a thing.

Enter: The Haley Drew Weddings Team 💍

When you hire Haley Drew Weddings, your only job on your wedding day is to show up, get pampered, and feel and be present in everything. We handle the rest.

Our team is known for our calm presence, and obsessive attention to detail. We don’t just manage timelines we anticipate needs. We’re fluffing your train one minute and rerouting the caterer the next (without anyone ever knowing there was an issue).

What We Do So You Don’t Have To:

  • Manage vendor arrivals and setups

  • Create timelines and floor plans and guarantee your vendors are actually reviewing them before your wedding day.

  • Running your rehearsal the day before. Teaching the most flawless ceremony choreography for the best possible photos.

  • Style and set up all personal details (flat lays, signage, candles, moving around florals, props, etc.)

  • Setting up all of your decor. AND Yes we will unload it and reload it into your car. So mom and dad don’t have to sweat and load up the car at the end of the night.

  • Keep the day running smoothly behind the scenes. (Reminding the Dj of formalities, cueing the Dj, making sure dinner is on time, making sure you know what you are doing and when, making sure the photographer and videographer are aware of any significant moments that you are wanting photographed, and so on).

  • Troubleshoot without disrupting the vibe

  • Make sure your champagne glass is never empty and your lipstick always looks good. Bustling your gown, make a makeshift bustle if it breaks, touch up your makeup, and anything else you need.

  • We protect your belongings and make sure nothing is getting lost. Things get lost all. The. Time.

  • Pamper you and make sure you get all the apps, drinks, dinner is served to you first, amongst other things.

  • Be the go-to contact for everyone so you can just… be the bride. As you should.

  • And lastly, we help shuffle everyone out at the end of the night, right on time, so no extra unexpected fees are applied.

Let Yourself Enjoy the Day You Spent Months Planning

You spent months dreaming about this day. Don’t spend it answering questions or fixing problems. With Haley Drew Weddings, you’re the main character, not the production crew. Our job is to make the day feel effortless for you, even if we’re hustling behind the scenes to keep everything flawless.

The point of a wedding planner is to not just make sure everyone is doing their job and to make sure everything looks perfect, it is also to make sure you don’t have to lift a finger or worry about a single thing. Things are supposed to just happen and you are supposed to simply just watch it all happen without any of your efforts.

So no, you shouldn’t work on your wedding day.

And when you hire us, you won’t have to.
